黃雅茵（WONG Nga-yan, Peony），一九七四年在香港出生，現任裁判官。她於一九九六年及一九九七年在香港大學分別取得法學士學位及法學專業證書，一九九七年在香港獲大律師資格，一九九八年起私人執業，處理各類訴訟。 二○一四年十一月，司法機構宣布委任十六名常任裁判官及五名特委裁判官，她為獲委任的常任裁判官之一，任命由行政長官根據司法人員推薦委員會的推薦作出，同月二十日起生效。任職裁判官期間，她曾在東區裁判法院審理涉及二○一九年十一月西灣河事件的案件，被告面對非法集結、使用蒙面物品及管有攻擊性武器等控罪；其後她亦曾以區域法院暫委法官身分審理民事案件。截至二○二六年九月，她仍在司法機構的法官及司法人員名單之內，身分為裁判官。 裁判法院是香港刑事司法體系的第一層，處理香港絕大部分的刑事案件，裁判官審理簡易程序罪行，並負責可公訴罪行的交付審判程序，以及保釋、判刑和少年法庭等事宜。裁判法院的審訊一般由一名裁判官單獨進行，不設陪審團；對裁判法院的判決不服，可向高等法院原訟法庭提出上訴。黃雅茵由大律師轉任裁判官，自二○一四年起一直在裁判法院任職。裁判法院分設多個法院大樓，包括東區、觀塘、西九龍、沙田及粉嶺等，裁判官會被派駐不同法院審理案件。

Peony Wong Nga-yan (WONG Nga-yan, Peony), born in Hong Kong in 1974, is a Magistrate. She obtained an LL.B. and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong in 1996 and 1997 respectively, was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 1997, and practised in private practice from 1998. In November 2014 the Judiciary announced the appointment of 16 Permanent Magistrates and five Special Magistrates; she was one of the Permanent Magistrates appointed by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission, with effect from 20 November 2014. In 2020 she heard a case at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts arising from the Sai Wan Ho incident of 11 November 2019, in which the defendants faced charges of unlawful assembly, use of facial covering and possession of offensive weapons. As at September 2026 she remained on the Judiciary's list of judges and judicial officers as a Magistrate. The magistracy is the first tier of Hong Kong's criminal justice system and handles the great majority of criminal cases; magistrates sit alone without a jury and appeals lie to the Court of First Instance. She moved from the Bar to the bench and has long heard criminal cases at first instance.
