Antony Szeto Wing-wah is a Hong Kong film director who mainly makes martial-arts films. He graduated from a martial-arts academy that is now part of the Beijing Sport University, winning several competitions as a student, then studied film and finance as a double major in Australia and took a master's degree in Britain. He trained under the international action director Guy Norris, whose credits include The Lord of the Rings and Moulin Rouge. His debut feature, DragonBlade, was China's first 3D animated film, voiced by Daniel Wu, Karen Mok, Stephen Fung and Sandra Ng and co-produced by Hong Kong and mainland companies; it was selected as one of five Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan films at the 2005 Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers festival, was nominated at the Golden Horse Awards and won a Hong Kong digital entertainment award, while Szeto himself took the Australian Directors' Guild award for best new director in 2005. In 2008 he produced and released the action film Wushu, starring Sammo Hung with Jackie Chan as producer, opening in mainland China on 24 October that year. From 2010 he worked as a resident director for the ACE film studio, making the films Ghost Maze and 8 Hours of Pursuit for the Hollywood producer Roger Corman. Besides directing he also works as an action choreographer for Hong Kong and overseas productions, and more recently served as action consultant on Ghost in the Shell and action director for the China unit of The Meg.

Antony Szeto moved from martial-arts athlete to action-film director; his debut DragonBlade (2005) was China's first 3D animated feature, was selected among five Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan films at the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers festival, and won a Hong Kong digital entertainment award. He went on to direct films for the Hollywood producer Roger Corman and worked on the action of Ghost in the Shell and The Meg, making him one of the few Hong Kong directors to work in international action cinema.
