Tat M. Lok is an associate professor in the Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He took his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering at CUHK, then went to Purdue University for a master's degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in the same field. After his doctorate he was a post-doctoral research associate at Purdue, building experience in communications and signal processing, before returning to Hong Kong to join CUHK's Department of Information Engineering, where he has taught since.
Lok's path runs from electronic engineering at CUHK through a Purdue doctorate and postdoc back to teaching at CUHK — a locally trained information-engineering scholar whose work centres on communications and signal processing.
