Liming Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He completed a PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and before joining CUHK he was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His training is in electrical and computer engineering, with a postdoctoral stage at a leading artificial-intelligence laboratory, a path running from engineering fundamentals to AI applications.
Wang's background links electrical engineering with artificial intelligence; a department centred on systems analysis and operations research gains AI and data methods through such cross-disciplinary members.
