Wing Shing Wong is an emeritus professor in the Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He graduated from Yale University with a combined bachelor's and master's degree, then moved to Harvard University for a master's degree and a doctorate. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He taught for many years in CUHK's Department of Information Engineering and was made an emeritus professor on retirement. The departmental page lists only his degrees and fellowship status rather than a full biography, so this entry follows that record and leaves unlisted research topics, papers or awards blank. Information checked on 29 October 2026.
Wong moved from Yale and Harvard into local information-engineering education, teaching at CUHK for many years and taking part in the professional community as an IEEE and HKIE Fellow.
