XIANG Xin

Xiang Xin is chairman of the board, chief executive officer and an executive director of China Innovation Investment, listed in Hong Kong under stock code 1217. The directors' biographies in the company's 2025 annual report record that he was born in 1963, has worked for a number of large mainland institutions over a long period on technology project management and corporate strategy research, and has years of experience in project investment and information technology businesses. He holds a bachelor of science and a master of engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and joined the company in January 2003. The report also notes that he is president of the China Science and Technology Education Foundation and chairman, chief executive officer and an executive director of China Trends Holdings, a public company regulated by Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission. The foundation, registered in 2005 under the Societies Ordinance, provides charitable and financial support for science and technology education and employment in Hong Kong and mainland China, and is the major shareholder of China Trends. His alternate director, Gong Qing, is his wife, a relationship the report discloses in its section on relationships among board members. The corporate governance report in the same annual report records that he holds both the chairman and chief executive roles, a departure from code provision C.2.1, which the board considers appropriate in the current circumstances because it supports continuity of policy and stability of operations. He attended two general meetings and ten board meetings during the year. The board comprises two executive directors and three independent non-executive directors, and he chairs both the executive committee and the nomination committee.
