ZHANG Yu

Zhang Yu is founder, executive director, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Yonghe Medical Group, listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under stock code 2279. The company's 2025 annual report records that he was 40 years old and that he is responsible for the group's overall strategic planning, business direction and operational management, while also chairing the nomination committee and serving on the remuneration committee. He was appointed a director on 17 September 2020 and re-designated an executive director on 1 June 2021. The report states that he has spent more than 20 years in the medical hair-care industry. He entered the hair transplant field in March 2005 at Beijing Churong Fuyun Medical Cosmetology Clinic and left in November 2007; in July 2010 he founded the group and began building the Yonghe brand of hair transplant services. Since October 2025 he has been executive vice president and secretary-general of the hair medicine committee of the Chinese Non-Government Medical Institutions Association, and since September 2018 he has been deputy head of that association's hair medicine and scalp health management group under its dermatology committee. He graduated from Dazhuang Junior Middle School in Si County in June 2001. The group has expanded from hair transplantation into the diagnosis and treatment of various hair-related conditions, medical and routine hair care, and wig research and production. The report identifies his younger brother Zhang Hui as an executive director in charge of procurement management and business development; the board also includes executive director Han Zhimei, non-executive director Geng Jiaqi and three independent non-executive directors.
