ZHU Jiang Ming

Zhu Jiangming is founder, chairman, executive director and chief executive officer of Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology, listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under stock code 9863. The company's 2025 annual report records that he was 59 years old, that he founded the company in 2015, and that he is responsible for the group's overall business strategy and operations while also serving as a director of other subsidiaries. The report describes him as an engineer and entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience in electronics and artificial intelligence. Before founding Leapmotor he co-founded Dahua Technology in 1993, where he was chiefly responsible for product development, manufacturing and supply chain management; between 2008 and 2010 he worked at Motorola's Hangzhou operations; and in 2010 he returned to Dahua Technology, a Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed company with stock code 002236, where he remained a director until December 2021. The HDCVI video transmission patent developed by his team became an international standard in 2014. He received second prize in the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Awards in 2011 and first prize in the provincial science and technology progress awards in 2015; in 2025 he was recognised as a Zhejiang science entrepreneur and as an outstanding builder of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and in January 2026 he was named an outstanding entrepreneur of Zhejiang. He graduated from Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering in July 1990. The corporate information section shows that he also chairs the nomination and environmental, social and governance committee. Stellantis took a stake in the group in 2023 and the two sides formed the Leapmotor International joint venture in May 2024; in March 2025 the group signed a strategic co-operation memorandum with FAW Group and in December of that year entered into a domestic share subscription agreement.
