戴耀廷

戴耀廷（Benny Tai Yiu-ting）係香港法律學者，曾任香港大學法律學院副教授。2013年，戴耀廷發表文章提出以公民抗命方式爭取2017年行政長官選舉有真正普選，其後同陳健民、朱耀明發起「讓愛與和平佔領中環」（OCLP）運動，成為2014年雨傘運動嘅重要組織基礎。2019年，戴耀廷同其他被告因公眾妨擾相關罪名被定罪。

Benny Tai Yiu-ting is a Hong Kong legal scholar who served as an associate professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong. In 2013, Tai published an article proposing civil disobedience as a means to secure genuine universal suffrage for the 2017 Chief Executive election. He subsequently co-founded the 'Occupy Central with Love and Peace' (OCLP) campaign with Chan Kin-man and Chu Yiu-ming, which formed an important organisational foundation for the 2014 Umbrella Movement. In 2019, Tai and other defendants were convicted on public nuisance-related charges.
