1514 · 屯門 · 明正德九年

1514 年，葡萄牙探險家歐維士率兩艘船由滿剌加（今馬六甲）啟航抵屯門，豎立刻有葡萄牙國徽的石碑以示佔領，並要求與中國通商；此後七年，葡人掌控屯門及葵涌海澳。

In 1514, the Portuguese explorer Jorge Álvares set sail from Malacca (present-day Malacca) with two ships and arrived at Tuen Mun, erecting a stone monument bearing the Portuguese coat of arms to signify occupation and demanding trade with China; over the following seven years, the Portuguese controlled the coastal waters of Tuen Mun and Kwai Chung.

由明代正德九年（1514年）起，葡萄牙人（時人稱之為「佛郎機」）佔據屯門前後共七年，期間不斷從事劫掠行為。

From the 9th year of the Zhengde reign of the Ming dynasty (1514), the Portuguese (called Folangji by people of the time) occupied Tuen Mun for a total of seven years, continuously engaging in plundering.
