Yuen Long Kau Hui is founded when the market moves to its present site under Deng Man-wai during the Kangxi reign, one of the oldest markets in the New Territories.

Memory Founded when Tang Man-wai of Kam Tin moved the market, the Old Market is among the oldest in the New Territories.

Background Yuen Long Kau Hui was founded when Tang Man-wai of Kam Tin moved the market to its present site during the Kangxi reign, making it one of the oldest markets in the New Territories. The move took place after the Qing court lifted its coastal evacuation, when local markets gathered again and became centres where nearby villages traded farm produce and daily goods. Relocating the market from Tai Kiu Tun to the present site reflected the Tang clan's local influence and laid the foundation for Yuen Long's later marketing and commercial growth.
