Notes and definition
HKDSE Category A subjects use a 7-level scale: 5**, 5*, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, with 5** being the highest. Category B Applied Learning subjects are graded as "Attained" or "Not Attained". The minimum JUPAS entrance requirement is typically 332A33 (Chinese and English at Level 3, Mathematics and Liberal Studies at Level 2).
