張子強1955年喺廣西出世，喺香港長大，因生活奢華被稱為「大富豪」。1996年佢綁架李嘉誠長子李澤鉅，據稱取得超過十億港元贖金；翌年再綁架新鴻基地產郭炳湘。1998年佢喺中國大陸被捕，同年十二月被判處槍決，終年四十三歲。佢嘅罪行暴露咗當時香港富豪階層嘅弱點，亦成為一時城中熱話。

Cheung Tsz-keung, born in 1955 in Guangxi and raised in Hong Kong, was known as the 'Big Spender' (大富豪) for his lavish lifestyle. In 1996 he kidnapped Victor Li, the eldest son of tycoon Li Ka-shing, reportedly receiving a ransom of over HK$1 billion. The following year he kidnapped Walter Kwok of Sun Hung Kai Properties. He was arrested in mainland China in 1998, tried and executed by firing squad in December that year, aged 43. His crimes exposed the vulnerability of Hong Kong's wealthy elite at the time.
