Lam Kor-wan, born in 1955, is a Hong Kong serial killer who murdered at least four women between 1982 and 1983. A taxi driver by trade, he was dubbed the 'Jars Murderer' (雨夜屠夫) by the press because of evidence found in his home and the rainy-night nature of some attacks. He was arrested in 1983 after attempting to develop photographs of his victims at a photo shop. Convicted of four counts of murder, he was sentenced to death, later commuted to life imprisonment. His case remains one of Hong Kong's most notorious criminal cases.
