Clinic routine means seeing cases, taking histories, examining animals, running blood tests or imaging and agreeing a treatment plan and fees, plus surgery, hospital observation and follow-up visits. Emergency and night work is common, and veterinarians need skills in handling stressed animals and worried owners.
You must complete a recognised veterinary degree, which in practice means studying abroad since no local programme is offered, then apply to the Board for registration; the Board checks academic, language and practical requirements as it publishes. After registration, the professional code and continuing education expectations continue to apply.
Pay depends on the practice model: employed veterinarians in private clinics usually have a fixed salary plus commission or a share; government veterinary posts follow civil service pay scales; running your own clinic means deducting rent, equipment and staff costs, and this site prints no estimate. The route runs veterinarian, senior veterinarian, specialist in surgery, medicine, imaging or emergency care, then clinic head, medical director or clinic owner.
