嘉慶二十四年（1819）《新安縣志》卷之三 輿地畧二「物產」門設「茶」條，開句逐字核到「茶產邑中者甚夥」，即縣內產茶不少。條內分述四處產地同各自特點：一、杯渡山——「其出於杯渡山絕壁上者，有類蒙山茶，烹之作幽蘭茉莉氣」，即生喺絕壁，品類近蒙山茶，沖泡帶幽蘭、茉莉香氣；二、鳳凰山之鳳凰茶；三、担竿山之担竿茶；四、竹仔林之清明茶。後三者原文合記「消食退熱」，全條收句係「亦邑中之最著者也」——即縣志認為呢幾處係全縣最出名嘅茶。原文喺「故味益甘芳」之前另有一句講山高得霧露滋潤，該句中間有兩字喺本輪放大圖上未能逐字確認，本站唔引該句（列缺口，待下一輪高倍核讀），亦唔會用「因為山高多霧所以茶好」一類推論補位。地名一律照掃描本抄錄（杯渡山、鳳凰山、担竿山、竹仔林）；「杯渡山即今日屯門青山」一類對應屬後世考訂，未喺本掃描本核到相應語句，所以本站只列作未核線索，唔會當已核實，亦唔會代讀者配今日地名。同志錄並排對照：《香港志》志錄 1819 年條目（EV-18190000-24）明記嘉慶志喺穀類、菜、茶、果、花、草、木、竹、藤等條目下記錄多樣植物連分佈同形態，但冇抄出茶嘅產地同評語；本條就係該段嘅逐字內容。兩者講同一部書同一門，唔可以互相當第二來源。

Jiaqing 24 (1819) Xin’an County Gazetteer, juan 3, “Radiations of the Territory” part 2, section “Products”, carries a subsection headed “Tea”. Its opening line, read character by character, says that tea grew in the county in no small quantity, and it then gives four places of origin with their qualities: (1) Cup Ferry Mountain, where the tea grows on the cliffs, “resembles Mengshan tea, and brewed gives off the scent of hidden orchid and jasmine”; (2) Phoenix Mountain, with its Phoenix tea; (3) Dan’gan Mountain, with its Dan’gan tea; (4) Zhuzailin, with its Qingming tea. The last three are together said to “relieve food stagnation and reduce fever”, and the entry closes by calling all of them “the most notable in the county” — that is, the gazetteer’s own judgement of the county’s best-known teas. One further sentence before “whence the flavour is the sweeter and more fragrant”, describing high slopes gathering mist and dew, contains two characters that this pass could not confirm at high magnification; this site therefore does not quote that sentence (recorded as a gap pending a further pass) and never substitutes reasoning such as “high, misty slopes therefore make good tea”. Place names are transcribed as printed (Cup Ferry Mountain, Phoenix Mountain, Dan’gan Mountain, Zhuzailin). Identifications such as “Cup Ferry Mountain is Tuen Mun’s Castle Peak” are later scholarship, not a statement found in this scan; this site keeps them as an unverified lead only and never presents them as verified or maps the names onto modern places for the reader. Set beside the Hong Kong Chronicles archive, whose 1819 entry (EV-18190000-24) notes that the gazetteer records many plants under its grain, vegetable, tea, fruit, flower, grass, tree, bamboo and rattan headings with brief notes on distribution and form, but does not copy out the tea-growing places or the verdict on quality: this entry is the verbatim content of that passage. Both describe the same section of the same book and so cannot serve as second sources for each other.
