1686年5月4日，洪水沖毀土寨及民房，居民攀上屋頂，並用竹木紮成筏子以求渡水，溺斃事件時有聽聞。
On 4 May 1686, floods destroyed earthen forts and dwellings; residents climbed onto rooftops and made rafts with bamboo and wood to cross the water, and drownings were frequently heard of.

On 4 May 1686, the accumulated water rose over one zhang, all houses collapsed, and residents had to scatter to various places for temporary refuge.

清康熙二十五年四月二十二日（1686年5月4日），豪雨連降數天，治城地勢偏高的山麓區域因而積水，溝渠無法順利排走。
On the 22nd day of the 4th month of the 25th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty (4 May 1686), heavy rain fell for several days, causing water to accumulate in the relatively high foothill area of the county city, and the drains could not discharge it smoothly.
