On 15 March 1904, the Li Sing Technical School opened in Hong Kong, admitting 40 students in its first intake, with its premises in Central, Kwong Kam-lung as principal and Li Ki-tong, third son of Li Sing, bearing the costs; it was Hong Kong's first industrial education institution.
