1938年12月31日，香港《南華日報》刊出汪精衞同月29日致蔣介石的「艷電」，該電文表達他支持對日和平，引來香港新聞界批評。
On 31 December 1938, Hong Kong's South China Daily published Wang Jingwei's "Yan telegram" to Chiang Kai-shek dated the 29th of the same month, in which he expressed support for peace with Japan, drawing criticism from the Hong Kong press.
