此後，港九大隊因應地理與歷史方面的特殊條件，曾兩度改稱東江縱隊港九獨立大隊，且直接由東江縱隊司令部管轄，直至東江縱隊北撤為止。

Thereafter, owing to special geographical and historical conditions, the Hong Kong-Kowloon Brigade was twice renamed the East River Column Hong Kong-Kowloon Independent Brigade, under the direct command of the East River Column headquarters, until the East River Column withdrew north.
