1947年6月5日，《星島日報．香港史地》週刊由葉靈鳳創辦；1953年，他為《大公報》撰寫《太平山方物志》專欄；1958年，該專欄文章結集成《香港方物志》一書出版。

On 5 June 1947, Ye Lingfeng founded the weekly Hong Kong History and Geography in Sing Tao Daily; in 1953 he wrote the column Tai Ping Shan Fang Wu Zhi for Ta Kung Pao; in 1958 the columns were collected and published as the book Hong Kong Fang Wu Zhi.

1947年6月14日，香港政府推行進口管制，要求除獲豁免之進口貨品外，其餘一律須申領普通或特別許可證。

On 14 June 1947, the Hong Kong Government introduced import controls, requiring all imported goods other than exempted ones to obtain a general or special licence.

1947年6月28日，香港政府就石澳、大浪灣、赤柱及淺水灣等地多個泳灘的經營權公開招標，以徵求承辦商。

On 28 June 1947, the Hong Kong government invited public tenders for the operating rights of several beaches including Shek O, Big Wave Bay, Stanley and Repulse Bay.
