1971-04-10 · 中環德己立街

1971年4月10日，數十名人士由香港保衞釣魚台行動委員會安排，到中環德己立街的日本文化館進行保衞釣魚台示威，期間被警方阻止並封鎖現場；警方以非法集會及交通阻塞為理由驅散人群，並拘捕21人。

On 10 April 1971, dozens of people arranged by the Hong Kong Committee for the Defence of the Diaoyu Islands held a demonstration for the defence of the Diaoyu Islands at the Japanese Cultural Centre on D'Aguilar Street in Central, during which they were stopped by police and the site was cordoned off; police dispersed the crowd on grounds of unlawful assembly and traffic obstruction, and arrested 21 people.

1971-04-12 · 大欖涌監獄

1971年4月12日，五名年輕女囚犯從大欖涌監獄逃脫，期間襲擊一名女獄警，令對方重傷身亡；同日所有在逃者均被緝拿歸案，事後遭起訴謀殺罪。

On 12 April 1971, five young female prisoners escaped from Tai Lam Chung Prison, assaulting a female prison officer who later died of her injuries; all escapees were recaptured the same day and subsequently charged with murder.
