Notes and definition
The AFCD page states that Hong Kong’s present 2,500-odd farms “directly employ about 4,300 farmers and workers”. That is a farm-only direct-employment count, while the Hong Kong Yearbook 2024 figure of 17,759 covers agriculture and fisheries together: the two differ in both date and scope and must not be added or subtracted (see /calibre#farm-fishery-employment).
