Notes and definition

Places declared as monuments under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) as at 2 October 2026, when Hung Shing Temple in Wan Chai and the Stanley mosque were added, bringing the total from 138 to 140. The same official count also appears under the architecture topic as “Declared monuments (statutorily protected buildings)” — one figure placed in two topics, not two items to be added.
