葉錦添1967年喺香港出世，由電影海報設計入行，成為世界影壇最炙手可熱嘅美術指導之一。2001年佢憑李安《臥虎藏龍》獲得奧斯卡最佳藝術指導獎，係首位獲此殊榮嘅華人美術指導。其後《赤壁》《夜宴》《風聲》等作品確立佢「新東方美學」嘅旗號，作品橫跨電影、舞台劇同美術館展覽，令世界以嶄新視覺語言理解東方。佢亦係活躍嘅當代視覺藝術家。

Tim Yip, born in Hong Kong in 1967, began in film posters before becoming one of the most sought-after art directors in world cinema. For Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) he won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction — the first Chinese artist to do so. His 'new orientalism' aesthetics have shaped productions from film to opera stages and museum exhibitions worldwide, and he describes his project as inventing a contemporary visual language for Chinese culture.
