Day-to-day work
Station work revolves around passenger flow: at peak times you stand at platforms and gates to keep people moving, while at other times you patrol, restock and help passengers who need assistance, such as wheelchair users, older people and visitors; incidents must be reported to the control centre at once and handled to trained procedure.
Entry and training
As advertised by the operator: secondary education, good Chinese and English communication and availability for shifts, nights and typhoon duty, with training in station operations, emergency handling, ticketing and customer service, plus familiarity with station equipment.
Pay and progression
Pay follows the operator's published structure plus shift allowances, with details as published and no estimate printed here. The route runs station crew, senior crew, station officer or station supervisor, then operations or customer service management, with options to apply for train captain or control centre posts.
