On 1 November 1842, Morrison Hill became the new site of the Morrison Memorial School, which moved from Macau; the headmaster Rev. Brown arrived in Hong Kong together with 11 students including Wong Shing, Yung Wing and Wong Fun, this being Hong Kong's first English college.
