On 18 May 1912, Sun Yat-sen came to Hong Kong from Guangzhou and stayed for four days, during which he attended a banquet hosted by Hong Kong businessmen, gave an interview to reporters, and, at the invitation of the Acting Governor Claud Severn, visited Government House.
