1912年4月，《1912年遞解條例》開始實施，港府藉此獲得法定權力，能將在港出生、雙親皆不具英籍且被認定為「危險」的人士逐出香港。
In April 1912, the Deportation Ordinance 1912 came into effect, giving the Hong Kong government statutory power to expel from Hong Kong persons born in Hong Kong whose parents were not of British nationality and who were deemed "dangerous".

連接粉嶺與沙頭角的九廣鐵路支線，自1912年4月1日起投入服務，營運至1928年4月1日為止。
The Kowloon-Canton Railway branch line connecting Fanling and Sha Tau Kok was put into service on 1 April 1912 and operated until 1 April 1928.
