On 1 August 1921, the Chiu Chow Eight Districts Commercial Association in Hong Kong was formally established, with Wong Siu-ping and Chan Chun-chuen presiding over the opening ceremony; in 1945 it was renamed the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce.
