1922年10月17日，英國基督教會倫敦會於西營盤開辦的贊育醫院接生院開始投入服務，此乃香港首間為華人提供產科醫療的醫院。
On 17 October 1922, the maternity ward of Tsan Yuk Hospital, opened by the London Missionary Society in Sai Ying Pun, began service, the first hospital in Hong Kong to provide obstetric care for the Chinese.
