Every entry is citable. Press “Cite this entry” for a Chinese footnote, Chinese bibliography, APA or Chicago note — all derived from the registered source and the generated archive, never hand-written. If a registered source has no publication year, the citation prints the access date and says so.

From late August 1937, the Japanese army blockaded the China coast in stages, with the blockade line extending south to the French Indochina border and north to Qinhuangdao.
After the Japanese cut off South China's external communications along the coast, Hong Kong developed into a key transit point for the Chinese authorities to transport military supplies.
On 17 August 1937, the linking project between the Kowloon-Canton Railway and the Canton-Hankow Railway was completed, allowing trains departing from Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong to reach Hubei directly and connect with the Yangtze River system; after the Japanese army occupied China's coastal areas, the railway became an important channel for transporting military supplies to the interior.
