On 9 April 1951, a passenger aircraft of Siamese Airways was unable to land at Kai Tak Airport due to poor visibility.

1951年4月9日，一架隸屬暹羅航空、從曼谷出發前往香港的客機，受惡劣天氣影響，在港島東南面石澳與橫瀾島之間的海域失事墜落，機上16人無一倖存。
On 9 April 1951, a passenger aircraft of Siamese Airways flying from Bangkok to Hong Kong crashed into the sea between Shek O and Waglan Island southeast of Hong Kong Island due to severe weather, with none of the 16 people on board surviving.

這架客機最後於石澳鶴咀一帶海面墜下，造成機內十六人死亡。
The aircraft eventually crashed into the sea near Cape D'Aguilar at Shek O, killing sixteen people on board.

1951年4月12日，港府徵用「永灝號」油輪；該船由中國政府交通部轄下中國油輪公司擁有，經水警押送抵達海事處碼頭，隨後移交英國海軍。
On 12 April 1951, the Hong Kong government requisitioned the oil tanker "Yung Hao"; the ship was owned by the China Tanker Company under the Ministry of Transport of the Chinese government, was escorted by the Marine Police to the Marine Department pier, and was subsequently handed over to the Royal Navy.

On 27 April 1951, the Hong Kong Government promulgated a regulation authorising the Commerce and Industry Department to confiscate embargoed goods intended for the mainland and the related means of transport.
