On 10 December 1951, Yu Shuk-siu became the first Chinese to hold the post of Crown Counsel in the Hong Kong Legal Department.

1951年12月14日，香港華資工業出品展覽會第九屆揭幕，為期21天；該活動一般稱作工展會，昔日亦名國展會。第十五屆工展會於1957年喊出「香港人用香港貨」。
On 14 December 1951, the 9th Hong Kong Chinese Industrial Products Exhibition opened for 21 days; the event is commonly known as the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo and was formerly also called the National Products Exhibition. The 15th Expo in 1957 used the slogan 'Hong Kong people use Hong Kong goods'.

1951年12月21日，警務處入境事務部公佈新入境安排，對象為廣東籍人士：廣東省居民除非經澳門來港，否則須備有返回內地之證件；至於由澳門入境者，則須持有香港或澳門的有效證件。
On 21 December 1951, the Immigration Department of the Police Force announced new immigration arrangements for Guangdong natives: residents of Guangdong Province, unless coming to Hong Kong via Macau, must possess documents for returning to the mainland; those entering from Macau must hold valid Hong Kong or Macau documents.
