一九六六年十一月十六日，越南籍華人黃啟基被裁定謀殺罪名成立，當日以繯首方式處死，成為香港最後一次執行死刑的個案。
On 16 November 1966, Vietnamese Chinese Wong Kai-kei was convicted of murder and executed by hanging that day, the last execution carried out in Hong Kong.

一九六六年十一月二十一日，清水灣大埔仔出現山火，邵氏製片廠其中一個外景場地被火勢蔓延，最終整片燒毀。
On 21 November 1966, a hill fire broke out at Tai Po Tsai in Clear Water Bay and spread to one of Shaw Brothers' filming locations, which was eventually completely destroyed.

港府於一九六六年十一月二十五日就法律援助頒布一條條例，容許符合條件之民事訴訟當事人申請法律援助；次年一月，法律援助部在司法機構之下設立。
