一九八五年十一月二十一日，房屋署決定拆卸分佈於十個公共屋邨、合共二十二座結構有問題的公屋；連同葵芳邨先前已宣佈重建的四座，需拆卸重建的公屋總數達二十六座。
On 21 November 1985, the Housing Department decided to demolish 22 structurally problematic public housing blocks across ten public housing estates; together with the four blocks of Kwai Fong Estate previously announced for redevelopment, the total number of public housing blocks requiring demolition and redevelopment reached 26.
