2009年9月27日當日，颱風凱薩娜集結於中國南海，距本港700公里，一名大學生在大浪西灣遭涌浪捲走，最終喪生。
On 27 September 2009, Typhoon Ketsana was located in the South China Sea about 700 kilometres from Hong Kong, and a university student was swept away by a swell at Tai Long Sai Wan and ultimately died.
