一八三九年七月七日，九龍尖沙咀村發生一宗命案，死者為當地居民林維喜，施襲者身分是英國水兵。
On 7 July 1839, a fatal case occurred in Tsim Sha Tsui Village, Kowloon, in which the victim was a local resident named Lin Weixi and the attacker was a British sailor.

1839-11-04 · 官涌
自1839年11月4日開始，英國軍艦向官涌發動攻勢，戰鬥歷時十天，期間英方六度攻打官涌山上的清軍據點，全部遭到擊退，隨後英國戰艦及鴉片船隻駛離尖沙咀水域，此役即官涌之戰。
From 4 November 1839, British warships launched attacks on Kwun Chung in a battle lasting ten days, during which the British assaulted the Qing positions on Kwun Chung hill six times and were repulsed each time, after which the British warships and opium vessels left the Tsim Sha Tsui waters; this was the Battle of Kwun Chung.

1840 · 九龍、尖沙咀、官涌 · 日期僅記到年份
清政府把大鵬營升格為大鵬協，加設副將一職，並將駐地遷往九龍，於尖沙咀懲膺及官涌臨衝修築兩座炮台，裝設鐵炮56門，由大鵬左營與右營分別派兵防守，同時重新設立紅香爐汛。
The Qing government upgraded the Dapeng garrison to the Dapeng Brigade, added the post of deputy general, moved its station to Kowloon, built two batteries at Tsim Sha Tsui and Kwun Chung, mounted 56 iron guns, garrisoned them with troops from the Dapeng Left and Right Battalions, and re-established the Hung Heung Lo post.
