To apply for Student Air Traffic Control Officer, you must first meet the entry qualifications set by the Civil Aviation Department. There are two main academic pathways: five HKDSE subjects at Level 3 or above, which must include at least one of mathematics, geography, physics, ICT or aviation; or the older A-level route. You must also meet language requirements of Level 3 in English and Level 2 in Chinese, with effective English communication skills. As a civil service post, you must also pass the Basic Law and National Security Law Test.
Air traffic control officers belong to a Civil Aviation Department civil service grade: the student period is paid on the Training Pay Scale, and on becoming an Air Traffic Control Officer III the post moves to the Master Pay Scale and then up the ranks. Actual points and amounts are as published in CAD recruitment notices and the current Civil Service Bureau pay tables, and this site prints no amounts. Because the airport operates around the clock, controllers must work shifts including overnight, with shift allowances and overtime arrangements laid down by the department. Progression is clear: student → ATCO III → ATCO II → ATCO I, and experienced officers can move into training, aviation safety or technical standards work.

要在香港簽發適航放行，關鍵是民航處 HKAR-66 飛機維修執照，再配合 HKAR-145 維修機構的授權。學徒、認可課程或工程學位，對應不同年期的經驗要求。

機場地勤人員（客運服務）喺客運大樓處理登機手續、行李同登機閘口服務；要輪班，並須通過背景審查申請機場禁區通行證。
空中服務員負責機上乘客安全同服務；入職要通過航空公司遴選、體檢同安全訓練，並符合語言、身高可及範圍及客戶服務要求。
