On shift you check the ambulance and equipment and keep your skills current; when called out you proceed as directed, assess patients, decide priorities and keep monitoring en route. After handover you write records, restock consumables and pass information on at shift change.
As advertised by the department: secondary education, fitness and vision tests, interviews and vetting, plus a Basic Law and National Security Law Test pass for posts advertised from 1 July 2022. Training is residential at the academy and includes professional assessments.
Pay follows the Disciplined Services pay scale with the entry point in the recruitment notice plus shift and overtime pay; actual figures are as published and this site prints none. Rank-and-file staff may move into the ambulance officer grade through promotion examinations, or rise through team leader ranks by service and appraisal, with titles as the department publishes.

政務主任是政府的政策與公共管理工作。2025/26 年度招聘以一級或二級榮譽學士學位為學歷門檻，並要通過綜合招聘考試、聯合招聘考試及《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
行政主任專長資源與系統管理，調派到各政策局及部門。學士學位即可投考，不一定要榮譽等級——與政務主任不是同一條路。
投考警員須為香港特別行政區永久性居民，並符合學歷、語文、《基本法及香港國安法》測試及體能等要求；錄取後會在警察學院接受住宿訓練。
消防員（行動／海務）屬消防處紀律部隊職位，主要執行滅火、救援及防火職務。入職以文憑試／會考學歷為主，並須通過視力、體能、模擬實際工作及能力傾向筆試。
