管制站工作節奏快：檢查證件、核實身份、處理旅客查詢同異常個案，遇有可疑個案要即時請示同記錄。調查組就做跟蹤、搜集證據同協助檢控，工作時間不固定，亦要輪夜更同處理突發事件。
以入境事務處招聘公告為準：一般要求學位或副學位、通過體能測驗同面試、符合語文要求，2022 年 7 月 1 日起刊登嘅公務員職位另須通過《基本法及香港國安法》測試。入職後要入住學院受訓，並通過考核先可以正式執勤。
薪酬按公務員事務局公布嘅紀律人員薪級表支薪，入職薪點見招聘公告，另有津貼同逾時工作補薪，實際金額以政府公布為準，本站唔列數字。晉升靠年資、考核同晉升考試，由入境事務主任逐步升至總入境事務主任、首席入境事務主任，亦可走專業路線做調查或檢控工作。

Control point work is fast-paced: checking documents, verifying identity, handling traveller enquiries and anomalies, and escalating and recording suspicious cases. Investigation teams carry out surveillance, gather evidence and support prosecutions, with irregular hours, night shifts and incident response.
As advertised by the department: usually a degree or sub-degree, a fitness test, interviews and language proficiency, plus a pass in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test for civil service posts advertised from 1 July 2022. Recruits live in during training at the institute and must pass assessments before taking up duty.
Pay follows the Disciplined Services pay scale published by the Civil Service Bureau, with the entry point stated in the recruitment notice plus allowances and overtime pay; actual figures are as published, and this site prints none. Promotion depends on service, appraisal and promotion examinations, moving from immigration officer through chief immigration officer to principal immigration officer, with specialist routes in investigation or prosecution.

政務主任是政府的政策與公共管理工作。2025/26 年度招聘以一級或二級榮譽學士學位為學歷門檻，並要通過綜合招聘考試、聯合招聘考試及《基本法及香港國安法》測試。
行政主任專長資源與系統管理，調派到各政策局及部門。學士學位即可投考，不一定要榮譽等級——與政務主任不是同一條路。
投考警員須為香港特別行政區永久性居民，並符合學歷、語文、《基本法及香港國安法》測試及體能等要求；錄取後會在警察學院接受住宿訓練。
消防員（行動／海務）屬消防處紀律部隊職位，主要執行滅火、救援及防火職務。入職以文憑試／會考學歷為主，並須通過視力、體能、模擬實際工作及能力傾向筆試。
