中藥師（配劑）喺中藥房、中醫診所或藥廠負責中藥材鑑別、配劑同管理。香港冇單一「註冊中藥師」牌照，但中藥經營受《中醫藥條例》規管，中藥商須領牌、中成藥須註冊。

醫院、診所、院舍同社區護理。呢個行業最特別嘅地方係「以註冊定身分」：護士、醫生、牙醫、藥劑師、中醫、物理治療師各有法定管理局把關，冇註冊就唔可以用該職銜執業；支援崗位（健康服務助理、藥房助理）唔需要法定註冊，門檻較低，亦係好多人先入行、再進修嘅起點。

Mornings usually start with tidying herb drawers and restocking, while the day goes into dispensing, packing and labelling to prescriptions and handling customer enquiries and orders. Herbs are checked regularly for mould or insect damage, and anything affected must be isolated and reported rather than sold.
Entry is usually secondary education with no statutory licence; trade qualifications are built through Chinese medicine courses and Qualifications Framework programmes, and some employers expect familiarity with common herbs. To run a retail or wholesale business, a licence must be obtained from the Chinese Medicines Board under the Ordinance, with the responsible person and premises meeting its requirements.
Pay is set by the employer according to the type of business, such as a traditional dispensary, chain, clinic or manufacturer, and experience, with no statutory scale; commission or bonus arrangements vary, so this site prints no estimate. The route runs dispenser, senior dispenser or shop supervisor, then dispensary or clinic operations lead, with the option of further Chinese medicine study or qualifying as a registered practitioner.

在香港以護士身分執業，須持有香港護士管理局的註冊或登記證明，以及有效執業證明書。學位護士與登記護士是兩條法定路線。
要在香港作中醫執業，須完成中醫組認可的本科訓練，通過中醫執業資格試，再申請註冊證明書及執業證明書。
在香港以藥劑師身分執業，須先向藥劑業及毒藥管理局註冊。本地港大／中大藥劑學學位與非本地資格是兩條不同路徑。
在香港執業須向醫務委員會註冊。港大／中大醫科畢業生與其他醫科畢業生走不同關卡：後者須通過執業資格試，並完成駐院實習評核。
