1948年8月，政府廣播電台對外公佈，不再使用ZBW和ZEK作為電台呼號，並將電台正式定名為香港廣播電台。

In August 1948, the Government Broadcasting Station announced that it would no longer use ZBW and ZEK as radio call signs and officially named the station Radio Hong Kong.

1948年8月13日，香港政府公佈一條條例，就警隊架構、紀律要求、職務範圍、人員福利、行政運作及執法工作訂立完整規範。

On 13 August 1948, the Hong Kong Government published an ordinance setting out comprehensive rules on the structure, disciplinary requirements, scope of duties, personnel welfare, administrative operation and law enforcement work of the police force.
