1950年11月29日，大成中學辦妥註冊手續，此校乃孔聖堂所創立，為香港第一所以弘揚孔教為教育理念的中學，至1953年更名為孔聖堂中學。
On 29 November 1950, Tai Shing Middle School completed its registration; founded by the Confucian Hall, it was the first secondary school in Hong Kong with the promotion of Confucianism as its educational philosophy, and in 1953 it was renamed Confucian Hall Middle School.
