《快報》創刊日為1963年3月1日，資金來自星島報業集團董事長胡仙，該報停刊日為1998年3月16日。

The first issue of the Express was published on 1 March 1963 with funding from Aw Boon Haw's daughter Sally Aw Sian, chairman of Sing Tao Newspapers, and the paper ceased publication on 16 March 1998.

1963年3月8日，北京《人民日報》發表社論，指出港澳現狀乃昔日不平等條約遺留所致，北京當局會在條件成熟時透過談判途徑謀求和平解決，而問題正式處理前，兩地維持現行狀態。

On 8 March 1963, the Beijing People's Daily published an editorial stating that the present situation of Hong Kong and Macao was a legacy of past unequal treaties, that the Beijing authorities would seek a peaceful settlement through negotiation when conditions were ripe, and that the two places would maintain the existing state before the issue was formally addressed.

從1963年3月11日開始，《明報》副刊連載了倪匡創作、主角為衞斯理的第一部科幻小說《鑽石花》。

From 11 March 1963, the Ming Pao supplement serialised Diamond Flower, the first science fiction novel by Ni Kuang featuring Wisely as the protagonist.
