1967年3月28日，香港中央的士公司因解僱司機引發勞資糾紛，導致該公司及香港上海的士公司的駕駛員連續多日採取集體怠工行動；到了4月15日，兩間企業對外宣佈結束營業，並出售150餘部的士。
On 28 March 1967, a labour dispute arose at Hong Kong Central Taxi Company over the dismissal of drivers, leading to several days of collective go-slow action by drivers of that company and Hong Kong Shanghai Taxi Company; by 15 April, both companies announced closure and sold over 150 taxis.
