1969年7月21日，香港政府華員會召開全體女會員大會，公佈將要求港府在教師、護士及社會工作者三個行業推行男女同工同酬。
On 21 July 1969, the Hong Kong Chinese Civil Servants' Association held a general meeting of all its female members and announced that it would demand that the Hong Kong Government implement equal pay for equal work between men and women in the three sectors of teaching, nursing and social work.
