1995年8月翡翠道及深灣道出現山泥傾瀉後，土力工程處展開一個地球物理實驗項目，同時邀請數間國際地球物理勘探公司，就與該兩處山泥傾瀉位置地質相近的斜坡作出勘察。
After the landslides at Fei Tsui Road and Shum Wan Road in August 1995, the Geotechnical Engineering Office launched a geophysical pilot study and invited several international geophysical exploration companies to survey slopes with geology similar to the two landslide sites.
