陳啟宗

陳啟宗1949年生於香港，恒隆集團及恒隆地產前董事長。他畢業於聖保羅男女中學，其後在美國南加州大學取得工商管理碩士學位，1972年加入父親陳曾熙及叔父陳曾燾創辦的恒隆集團。1986年父親逝世後，由叔父出任集團董事長，他獲委任加入恒隆地產董事局；1991年叔父退任，他接掌恒隆集團同恒隆地產，成為第三代掌舵人。1990年代起，他把恒隆的發展重心由香港轉向內地，先後在上海建成恒隆廣場同港匯恒隆廣場，其後把「恒隆廣場」模式複製到無錫、天津、大連、昆明、武漢、杭州等城市，令恒隆成為香港發展商北上發展高端購物商場的代表之一。他長期活躍於公共事務，曾任香港地產建設商會副會長、亞洲協會副主席兼香港分會主席，並出任中國發展研究基金會理事會顧問，2004年獲香港科技大學頒授榮譽社會科學博士，2017年獲頒大紫荊勳章。2024年4月他退任董事長，由兒子陳文博接任。

Ronnie Chan Chi-chung, born in Hong Kong in 1949, is the former chairman of Hang Lung Group and Hang Lung Properties. Educated at St Paul's Co-educational College, he took an MBA at the University of Southern California and joined the family conglomerate in 1972, founded by his father Chan Tseng-hsi and his uncle Chan Tseng-tao. After his father's death in 1986 his uncle became chairman and Ronnie joined the Hang Lung Properties board; when his uncle retired in 1991 he took over both companies as the third-generation helmsman. From the 1990s he shifted Hang Lung's focus from Hong Kong to the mainland, building Plaza 66 and Grand Gateway 66 in Shanghai and then replicating the 'Plaza 66' model in Wuxi, Tianjin, Dalian, Kunming, Wuhan and Hangzhou, making Hang Lung a byword among Hong Kong developers for high-end mainland shopping malls. Long active in public affairs, he was vice-president of the Real Estate Developers Association, vice-chairman of Asia Society and chairman of its Hong Kong centre, and an adviser to the China Development Research Foundation; he received an honorary doctorate from HKUST in 2004 and the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2017. He stepped down as chairman in April 2024, handing over to his son Adriel Chan.
