商務及經濟發展局局長2016年1月30日出席香港漫畫星光大道二期開幕典禮致辭，把「灣仔太原街的『玩具街』」同茂蘿街「動漫基地」、星光大道並列為維港兩岸動漫地標；同年2月17日局長喺立法會《施政報告》致謝議案辯論致辭寫得更明確——「灣仔區內的『玩具街』（即太原街）」。官方文件只把「玩具街」等同太原街，冇交代街名由來或者店舖數目，所以呢頁唔會補呢啲。
